For the love of Dead Like Me and Pushing Daisies

I've spent a huge portion of the last few days watching the TV-show Dead like Me. I found it on Youtube, which I'm finding the best way to watch shows. It's too bad networks are too busy worrying about the money they're losing to realize it.

On Youtube the shows are cut into 10 minute pieces and it's cool to watch a part and then read the comments. It's interactive in a way that movies and TV-shows rarely are.

I know that watching TV-shows from Youtube is wrong and probably makes me a bad person, but I actually tried to buy the series on DVD when I was in London some time ago. The prices were ridiculous. Besides the show was never even aired in Finland (where I live), so without Youtube (and IMDB) I wouldn't even know about the show. Now, thanks to Youtube, I would've bought the DVDs if they weren't so expensive.

45 £ (55€/72$) per season. That's crazy.

Besides, the show was cancelled in it's second season (like Pushing Daisies, which is another great show by Bryan Fulller) and that makes me a little bit bitter towards the network.

Maybe Bryan should write novels, since it seems all of his shows get cancelled.  His stories would make great books, since they're full of wordplay, inner dialogue and strange imagery.

This is especially true with Pushing Daisies, where the dialogue is brilliant, but passes by so swiftly that at times it's difficult to properly appreciate it. At least for a non-native speaker (listener?) like me. It would be nice to see the dialogue in print where it could be perused with the attention it deserves.
